Device Management
Sensible shows you every Chrome browser connected to each child's profile, so you always know where monitoring is active.
Viewing devices
Under each child in your dashboard, you'll see their linked devices. Each device shows:
- Browser and OS — e.g., "Chrome on macOS" or "Chrome on Windows"
- Last activity — When the device last sent a conversation
- Status indicator — Color-coded activity status
- Connection date — When the device was first linked
Status indicators
| Color | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Green | Active within the last 24 hours |
| Amber | No activity for 48+ hours |
| Gray | Connected but no recent activity |
Inactivity warning
If a device hasn't sent data in over 48 hours, you'll see a warning that the extension may have been uninstalled or the browser hasn't been used.
Revoking a device
If you need to disconnect a device (e.g., the child no longer uses that computer):
- Find the device under the child's profile
- Click "Revoke"
- Confirm in the modal
When you revoke a device:
- The device can no longer send new data
- The device token is invalidated immediately
- Historical conversations from that device are kept for the 90-day retention period
- The extension on that device will show a "disconnected" state
Regenerating link codes
If you need a new link code for a child (e.g., the old one expired or was shared accidentally):
- Go to the child's profile
- Click "Regenerate Code"
- You'll have the option to also revoke all existing devices
The new code can be used to link additional devices to the same child profile.
Multiple devices per child
If your child uses more than one computer:
- Install the extension on each device
- Use the same link code to connect them all to one child profile
- All conversations from all devices will appear together in the dashboard
